Iguazu Falls (Brazil) & Itaipu Dam

We leave Asunción heading east, visiting Itaipu in Hernandarias, the world’s largest hydroelectric dam in terms of power generation. Afterward, we cross the Friendship Bridge into Brazil, connecting Ciudad del Este with Foz do Iguaçu, heading to the Iguazu National Park on the outskirts of the city.

After paying the entrance fee (not included), you will board a park bus to the walkways, where you can stroll and admire the majestic Iguazu Falls. Once the visit is over, we will begin our return journey to Asunción.

Lake Ypacaraí Tour

We begin our tour heading to Lake Ypacaraí, with our first stop in San Lorenzo to visit its neo-Gothic cathedral. We continue to Itauguá, where we will appreciate typical fabrics like Ñandutí and Ao Po'i, followed by a brief visit to the old Ypacaraí Train Station before reaching the summer town of San Bernardino on the shores of the lake. On our way back, we visit Areguá, known for its pottery and strawberry production, ending in Luque, the capital of gold and silver filigree jewelry and home to the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL).
